WIM Installer is a tool that aims to simplify the process of installing WIM files. You will have to use the command line interface to fully utilize the application's capabilities. It is a GUI application, so there is a big performance difference between the desktop version and the online version. WIM Installer allows you to select the Windows operating system version and the edition as well as the language you want to install. It also provides a preview of the disk. As you select the WIM file and the destination partition, WIM Installer deploys the selected WIM file on the target system. You can also select what applications you want to run after deployment. After installation is completed, the program generates a self-extracting archive which is provided for both Windows 2000 and Windows XP. WIM Installer uses ImageX to perform all of its functions. You have to use the command line tool to take full advantage of the application's features. If you are not familiar with the command line interface, WIM Installer is not the ideal application for installing the Windows operating system.
